- One can only wonder why the scientists only just now have noticed this enormous event. It's been a year since its occurance. We must now ask, what else have they missed? Why are these much-funded scientists not alert to these events in a more timely way. Are they doing their jobs properly?

- Tobacco should be illegal. It's simple. Look at the stats. Pot's stats don't come close. However, if legalized there should be an age limit...just to make sure those little ones learn something in school. But tobacco should definitely be the illegal drug.

- Never touch the stuff. Haven't been south of the border. Never wanted to go there. Never needed to. This story makes it even less likely. Travel should include intellect. You don't travel much do you?

- After all, tomatoes and tobacco are regulated by govt. Both have poisonous leaves. On a lighter note: I say plant the coca leaves in the same fields that bacterial laden spinach comes from and let the S. Am. leaders eat THOSE in a salad (do I hear a "Three Stooges" laugh here?).
